HOW DID YOU FIRST GET INTO THE WATER?

When I was a child my brothers and I would jump off waterfalls and swim in whitewater. In college I found whitewater kayaking and fell in love. I moved to raft guiding in West Virginia, then video boating, chasing rafts with a video camera and filming their crashes. 8 years ago I found whitewater paddle boarding and I have been hooked. I've been traveling the world trying to paddle and explore as many rivers as possible. 

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR PERSONAL GOALS?

I love challenging myself to run harder whitewater and keep up with my friends SUP racing. I'm lucky to have had an amazing season racing and paddling whitewater last year. This year I’ve been exploring runs in the Pacific Northwest that have never been paddle boarded. Its been really fun exploring and finding new rivers to run.

MOST EXCITING MOMENT OF YOUR LIFE (SO FAR):

Definitely the 1st SUP Descent of the Zambezi River below Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Huge rapids!

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

My friends and river community. Every time we get on the river we push each other to try new lines and make harder moves. 

WHO IS SOMEONE YOU LOOK UP TO IN THE INDUSTRY?

I love my river family. Brittany Parker, Melanie Seiler, Natali Zollinger, and Nicole Mansfield. (Just to name a few) I look up to them for how amazing, supportive, and giving they are. 

FAVORITE BOARDS?

For Whitewater I love my Hala Atcha, for SUP river surfing the Badfish 6'11 riversurfer, for short board river surfing and for the ocean surfing the new Hala Gram. 

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF AS A CHILD?

Very wild. I always had scraped knees and elbows. 

WHAT IS IT THAT YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT?

Whitewater. I've been an addict for 14 years. I get cranky without it.

Monkey

Sushi

IF YOU COULD LIVE ANYWHERE, WHERE WOULD IT BE?

I love living in Colorado, but I would love to spend my winters on the beach or somewhere tropical in whitewater!

Exploring more rivers in Africa and Central America.
